Fixed the category problem — had to allow popups for Typepad. So now I am getting somewhere. Also am having an improved outlook as my parents will be watching the kids for a few hours. I’ll be able to get the laundry put away too I bet!
I figure I can go about this two ways — sit and let things pile up around me, or use the time between posts to get MORE stuff done than I usually would during the weekend. Let’s hope I keep my resolve for THAT, eh?
Hopefully this is where we can go on vacation next year. Just a short one, to the International Ironworker Festival. Maybe by then Dan will be good enough at stuff to have a chance to win things!
They have a spud throw, which I believe is a really pointy wrench. I guess you throw it at a target. Then they have a rivet catch. I guess that is a team event. They have rod tying but Dan doesn’t do that and has no desire to — his cousin does it and his hands are all twitchy from it. Forget that. He’d probably kick ass in the knot tying bit, I am quite impressed with his knot tying abilities. (He should be good at it, they’ve given him plenty of classes in it, already.) And lastly, the column climb, which I would LOVE to see him try. That would be hysterical, scooting up a steel column!
I am so easily amused and he would laugh at me if I ever seriously suggested we go. Too bad, I think it would be fun in a very odd sort of way.
