I don’t get sick often, I can’t. I’m a mother. I can’t lay and sleep because I have a toddler. It would be pure insanity if I slept when he was awake, he keeps me on my toes enough when I am feeling 100%!
Today, though, was the pits.
I spent as much time as possible on the couch — and I was lucky enough to get someone to drop my kids off at school. Unfortunately, I had to pick them up.
In my very warm house, I was shivering. Outside, in the cold rain, I was burning up. Figures.
Thankfully D. got off of work early enough for me to lay down and lay low for a while. I knew there were advantages to him going to work before dawn! If it rains tomorrow, he’s supposed to call in, the jobs he has been on lately are all completely outdoors, done in such a way they can’t work in the rain. So we’ll see if he will be home tomorrow for me to rest some more. (Unfortunately, no work = no pay, so no matter what, there is a negative side to him staying home. That sucks.)
I’m still up doing the last of the laundry, and then, finally, I can really sleep. Liquid Green Death should help that along. I just can’t abide by the more palatable flavors (as much as you can do that to NyQuil). For me, its green or nothing.
I hope this will all be over by morning. It’s rare that I am this sick at all — to be this sick for more than 24 hours is unheard of. We’ll see.
