Or did it? New Amendment Used In Defense Against Domestic Violence Charges.
Attorneys in Ohio are using the gay marriage amendment to defend people against domestic violence charges. You see, the charges give the unmarried victims marriage like legal status, and that’s a big no-no now, in Ohio.
So first I thought, ok, this means that these overly moralistic people are seeing how narrowminded they were and how others can get hurt by the amendment, until I realized, that people who are against gays getting married, are probably against people who ‘live in sin’.
So the extreme religious right got even better results than expected, they’ve taken away some power to unmarried hetrosexual couples, too. I am sure some of the more moderate voters didn’t see it happening, but this is exactly what happens when you start treating people like second class citizens — that group just gets larger and larger, as a group of people judge others to be unacceptable to society.
Next, no child support or insurance or tax benefits to children of unmarried couples — I can see it happening.

What is he going to invade with? ROTC cadets? Boy and Girl Scouts? An army of pitbulls and rabid racoons?
Aren’t we stretched a little too thin as it is?
